We tested the USB performance with an Intel X25-M SSD and a SATA to USB adapter to saturate the USB bus in order to look for any performance drops.

The SB710 southbridge again proves it's slightly better than the older SB700 and provides a consistently faster USB performance, however it's still worth noting that AMD's USB performance is lower than Nvidia and Intel however.
